A learner can define Bernoulli’s principle, write the Elsner equation, and calculate the pH of a chlorine solution, yet still have no mental image of the real system where any of those concepts actually operate. The curriculum and the world it describes have never been in the same room.
In the industry
Engineering and industrial companies watch their most experienced people retire, taking decades of operational knowledge with them. There is no standardised, reusable way to retain what they knew. Onboarding the next engineer starts from scratch.

Industry memory is fragile
Decades of operational knowledge live in people, not systems. When the senior engineer leaves, it walks out with them. We build the infrastructure to capture and teach it before it is gone.
Mastery over coverage
Ticking the CAPS box is not the same as understanding the system. We measure whether a learner can run the simulation — not whether they completed the worksheet.

Founder & Director
Angel recognised a pattern across South Africa's education and engineering sectors: the knowledge was there, on both sides, in the curriculum and in the organisations. Nobody had built the bridge. MAUKQ is that bridge: structured, interactive, and built for the generation that will run Africa's industries next.
MAUKQ is currently rolling out its first school licences and opening conversations with engineering and mining companies. We are early, deliberate, and building something that lasts.
